Escudilla Tower Project
This will be a full outdoor weekend - 3 hikes, one will include a service project.
The fire lookout tower at the top of Arizona’s 3rd highest peak was damaged in the Wallow Fire. The trails to Escudilla have been closed since then. On Saturday, May 12, we will hike up and install a fence around the tower. Once completed, the Forest Service will reopen the trails to the public.
We will be doing an eight to ten mile hike the day before (on- Friday and a shorter hike the day after (on Sunday).
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Those interested in ‘giving back’ to the wilderness and contributing to Wallow Fire Recovery. And people who love mountains, good food and fun!
